About the workplace

In Mörarp, just outside Helsingborg, lies the group home at Mörshögsvägen 19. Here live 6 residents with varying functional variations. The residence is located near green areas and a rural environment, with proximity to an ICA grocery store, a pizzeria, and a train station. It takes half an hour by train to central Helsingborg, or 15 minutes by car.

Job Responsibilities

The role of support pedagogue involves close collaboration with the individual and often includes developing, evaluating, and following up on support measures, as well as mentoring colleagues. You seek, gather, and disseminate knowledge about pedagogical methods and approaches that promote the individual's ability to be independent and participate, based on science and proven experience.

As a support pedagogue, you play a central role in the pedagogical work, ensuring that measures outlined in implementation plans are planned, executed, evaluated, and developed as needed.

The work also involves having an overview and supporting contact persons by ensuring that established, decided, and appropriate routines are documented, followed, and updated. You participate in a network with other support pedagogues to exchange knowledge and experiences.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a post-secondary education, at minimum a vocational college degree with 200 YH credits, or alternatively, 60 higher education credits where the education or courses have a clear focus on the disability sector or the psychiatric or social psychiatric sector.

You have several years of experience working as a support pedagogue within LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) activities. To succeed in the role, you have good knowledge of the intentions of the LSS legislation and experience in development and improvement work. You are familiar with working with Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) and have good documentation habits and experience working in digital activity systems.

Experience with the Lifecare activity system is meritorious. We would also appreciate experience working with individuals with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) diagnoses, as well as knowledge of clarifying pedagogy and low-affective handling.
